At a time when AI is increasingly entering the web development process, the question is no longer whether to use it, but how to apply it strategically.
In an interview with Enterprise Bulgaria magazine, our founders, Daniel Lydianov and Angel Miladinov, share their perspective on the role of AI in custom website development, the risks of “cheap” solutions, and why the strategy behind the project is more important than the tool itself.
We share the conversation here because we believe that the topic is key for any business planning digital development in the coming years.
In a time of AI, automation, and changing digital behavior, how should a business strategically approach the task of creating a custom website, and what is the real role of AI in this process?
For many clients, it is no longer a secret that programmers use AI to fulfill their desires. To give the right direction, as we know, prompting is of utmost importance, and in business, the first prompt comes from the client. Therefore, the client is responsible for formulating the direction, ambition, and constraints.
Our role as a partner is to structure this vision, to purify it of ambiguities, and to turn it into a working system. This is already happening, of course, with the help of AI.
We have developed external tools that take plain text and turn it into a detailed task for AI through the so-called Prompt Enhancement process. In other words, AI writes a task for AI.

Users now expect speed, personalization, and a seamless experience.
How does a modern custom site build on the standard website and create a deeper, more intelligent user experience?
A custom solution is by definition a "tailor-made suit", not an adaptation to pre-existing frameworks. AI allows experienced programmers to eliminate the main barrier in front of them, namely, the speed of work.
We no longer have to choose between speed and customization, as long as we know how to control the process and do it well.
It is important to note that it increases quality within the same resource. That is, if we have three months for a project, the goal is not to complete it in a month and a half, but to double the depth - better architecture, cleaner logic, more scenarios for functionalities, higher stability.
More and more companies are trying to build a website using AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, or Grok.
Where are the hidden risks in this approach, and when does the "cheaper solution" actually turn out to be more expensive?
The biggest danger is the person behind the wheel. It is faster by car than on foot, but you have to be able to drive the car. In the case of AI, this car is like a Formula 1 car - an incredible machine, with incredible capabilities, but also incredible danger. At first, everything seems cheap and fast, but the real price comes with scaling, integration,s and the first serious loads.
AI does not eliminate the need for experience. It makes it even more important.
'One bad line of code is equal to one bad line of code. One bad "prompt" is equal to 1000 lines of bad code. One bad plan - tens of thousands of bad lines of code.'
When is the right time for a company to upgrade or build a completely new website? What are the signals that the current site is already limiting the growth of the business?
The signal is usually not technical, but strategic. When the business has ideas for growth, but starts to make compromises because the system "does not allow it". When new functionality requires workarounds. When integrations become complex, support becomes increasingly expensive. When opportunities are lost because the platform cannot realize them.
Then the business is looking for people like us, with whom they can build a system around their business, not a business around their system.
What are the most important advantages of a custom website over ready-made template solutions, and why are more and more companies choosing this approach?
Freedom and technical hygiene. When any functionality can appear or disappear with two clicks, it means that a serious infrastructure must be behind it that allows it. In a very large percentage of cases, it hinders more than helps and is often much more unstable than expected.
With custom solutions, you only have what you need, only where it is needed, and in the way it is required to work.
If the programmers are good, this is a recipe for peaceful growth and development.

We believe that a successful website doesn’t start with a tool, but with a clearly defined purpose, a solid architecture, and forward-thinking. Technology is a tool. Strategy is the framework that makes it sustainable.
