AI agents can now shop on your website.

If yesterday we thought AI bots only read content and answered questions, that's already in the past. AI wallets are now a reality - able to buy content and services entirely on their own.

It sounds futuristic, but behind it lies a very concrete problem that every digital business owner is familiar with.

What are Cloudflare Wallets?

Cloudflare is introducing two types of wallets:

Account Wallets - for people. The owner of a Cloudflare account can load funds, give budgets to their agents, and revoke them when needed.

Virtual Wallets - for the AI agents themselves. Each agent gets its own budget with clear rules - a spending limit, a list of approved providers, a maximum amount per transaction. This way, the agent can try out dozens of APIs on its own, but can never exceed the assigned budget.

Why does this matter for your business?

A large share of web traffic already comes from agents, not humans. The trend is clear: more and more of the "visitors" to your site will not be people, but automated systems searching for information, comparing prices, or trying to place an order.

This raises questions that directly affect web development:

  • Is your site ready to be "understood" by an agent? Structured data, clear APIs, good documentation.

  • How will you tell an agent apart from a real customer? Agent identification is becoming an increasingly important topic for anyone managing onboarding, registrations, or any form of access.

  • Are you ready for automated payments? x402-compatible payments may very soon become the way part of your revenue comes in.

What should your next step be?

This is a good time to ask yourself whether your site's architecture is flexible enough to handle this shift - whether it arrives in a month or in two years.

At Weband, we're closely following everything related to the new ways people, bots, and now AI agents interact with websites.
